Riverside Entertainment has welcomed an elephant sculpture named ‘Ankara’, designed by artist Julia Allum. The sculpture features bright, colourful patterns inspired by African Ankara fabric.
The sculpture is part of the summer charity art trail GoGoSafari, which runs across Norwich and Norfolk from 23 June to 30 August. The trail aims to raise essential funds for Break, a charity working across East Anglia with young people in, around and leaving care.
Visitors can participate in the trail and discover over 50 large sculptures of the “big five”: gorillas, rhino’s, giraffes, lions and elephants. Each design is unique and created by a variety of artists.
GoGoSafari is being delivered by Break in partnership with Wild in Art and the Zoological Society of East Anglia.
You can join in by picking up an animal-shaped map and following the trail or downloading the interactive app. For more information visit
